The year is 20xx |
Welcome to the next generation of Super Smash Bros. Melee. 20XXTE is a highly-polished Melee mod designed to completely replace vanilla Melee in any setting, home or tournament. It can be run on any Gamecube or Wii with nothing but a memory card and a special save file - no hacking or homebrew required. (NTSC v1.02 only; v1.00 and v1.01 have limited features for compatibility in running tournaments)
|
Enter up to 8 characters on the Name Entry Screen. Save replays to watch and record later. Customize your menu music to set the mood between matches. Level up your swag factor by choosing from any of 18 custom shield colors. These and more have been coded specifically for 20XXTE, with usability in mind - you'll know how to use it from the second you get your hands on it.

All-New Features |
Frozen Mode |
The dream has finally come true. Frozen Mode disables Shy Guys on Yoshi's Story, wind on Dreamland, transformations on Pokemon Stadium, and background transitions on Final Destination. Just press Y on the Stage Select screen - your cursor will turn blue, giving a clear indicator that Frozen Mode is enabled.
|
Want to run 20XXTE at your tournament? All it takes is a single memory card - plug it in, power up, remove, and repeat on every setup. Enable "Tournament Mode" in the settings to disable all of the features that would interfere with tournaments, such as distracting aesthetics and training codes. You can even lock your settings to prevent tampering. 20XXTE was designed from day one with tournaments in mind.

The "TE" in 20XXTE |
Made to Copy |
20XXTE is 100% free to copy and distribute. All it takes is a normal save file copy on any Gamecube or Wii. Nobody in your scene has 20XXTE yet? Use Wii homebrew to download and install it onto your memory card. Also, notes and individual game codes will be published online after release to be used freely in other hacking projects.
